1st time to Barcelona What an Adventure

This past weekend was an interesting weekend one of the days was really funny day. I went to meet another Au-Pair in Barcelona, So this was my 1st time to Barcelona center (city). I was at 1st trying to get my new friend Omar to go with me but with the language barrier it's been hard to talk and have both of us understand one another. It was so funny cause Saturday morning, i told my friend I would pick her up at the bus stop as I said before I had no idea where any thing is so I thought that would be our best bet. So I walk to the train station which is about a hour and a half walk from the house with a bag on your back or shoulder maybe a little longer. As I arrive to the station my train is just pulling away and I did not have a train ticket, so I wanted to wait for the next train once I bought a ticket. I have never boughten a ticket while I have been here before, I have not needed to. I was 1st on the wrong side of the building and could not buy a ticket from that side, so I had to walk around to the other side, then once I got to the ticket machine computer, I realized that apparently the words and voices are not in english just spanish and catalan, well for someone who doesn't really know any of this it was a little hard to understand what anything said, luckily I watched Omar and I remembered the family say to buy only a 10 ticket type ticket so that is what I looked for, something that said T-10. One thing that I am still a little nervous about are Euros I mean I really don't understand what any thing costs or any of that. I just have to face the fact that I am a foreigner. So I bought the ticket and I was sitting on a bench waiting for the train, well who do you think comes walking up to me, my new friends, Omar, Ellle, and Eva. I was so happy to see them, at the same time I was thinking I hope that I did not sweat through my clothes. We all went to Barcelona  together and we went to a few bus stops to find the other au-pair, yet we had time to take a few photos of me in the main Barcelona area. So on Saturday we walked and walked for a really long time I would say we walked all day. I was also hoping to stay the night in Barcelona because I thought that would be a better way to get to know the area. So Omar said lets go home now by this time it was around 8:30 or something. He wanted to go swimming so we got to his flat, and swam. I was so hungry I really wanted to eat but I did not want to sound like all I did was eat not that we really had much to eat the whole day. I was so happy to hear that he was going to order pizza. After we ate around I think it was 11pm or something we started a movie called "A Little Trip to Heaven" by this time I was so sleepy but I like the actors  who are Julia Stiles and Forest Whitaker. It was a Thriller kind of thing  I would say and I was so into it I did not want to miss a thing. So we finally called it a night at around 3am. On Sunday we woke up at around 9am and ate breakfast And Omar and I had our day, Just the two of us. We 1st went to the beach where I beat him up not on purpose, he was tickling me or at least trying to and I elbowed him in the lip. After all that excitement we went to get Icees, well not really icees but they are a fresh strawberry drink or you can order lemon too. When I 1st got here the family took me to a place where I ordered what is called a dracula with half and half of each kind and I thought at that time "Wow this is great!" So I asked if Omar could get me one like that and he did. I love those! So tasty! After that it was back to the pool and then time to eat something. I spent a little more time at his flat before he took me to a nice little park. By this time I needed to get home and ready for the week ahead of me. That was my weekend it was funny and fun!! the way this trip should be. I can't wait to see what is instore for me next week.
